The Sony FE 24mm f/2.8 G Lens is one in a trio of full frame prime lenses designed by Sony to provide photographers and videographers with a collection of universally compatible lenses. This wide angle 24mm G lens excels at a range of subjects from landscapes and cityscapes to travel and documentary, regardless of whether shooting stills or video. A bright f/2.8 aperture allows users to capture images even in low light, whilst the high quality optical design ensures beautifully detailed and sharp results.

Eight optical elements arranged in seven groups including three aspherical elements and one ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass element. These combine to provide high resolution and suppresses colour fringing across the entire image. High corner to corner resolution and smooth bokeh make this an excellent compact, lightweight, wide angle lens for cityscapes, landscapes and videography.

A 7-blade circular aperture creates beautiful background defocus bokeh effects, ideal for making portraits and to isolate the subject from the background

Subject tracking is maintained regardless of quick changes in the subject’s motion, making this lens ideal for situations like snap shooting of moving subjects as found when travelling, shooting street scenes or filming people in motion.

The high quality construction includes engraved iris ring indices, focal length markings and Sony logo on the hood. This gives a premium feel to the 24mm f/2.8 G lens, despite being amongst the smallest and lightest in the Sony lens range.
